God planted the seeds, our eyes and hearts were open and we're taking that leap of faith into unknown territory where only God Himself can be revealed. Proverbs 24:12 tell us: "Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know and holds us responsible." So with much joy, we welcome you on our journey to bring home a baby girl from Ethiopia!

Food for thought

A friend posted this on her blog and I liked it so much, I thought I'd throw it on mine! Not that the majority of people are trying to be rude when they use these terms incorrectly, but through the ears of the adopted child/parent, it can seem so insensitive at times. Trust me, I've had to reprogram my own language after realizing how I've spoken prior to this whole journey. This just puts it all into perspective!

Natural Child...any child who is not artificial.

Real Parent...any parent who is not imaginary.

Your Own Child...any child who is not someone else's child.

Adopted Child...a natural child, with a real parent, who is all my own.
